Here is our 2009 Patriot Limited we bought the beginning of this month with 10,500 miles on it, black leather interior, sun roof, Boston s.system, American Racing wheels.

The previous owners put the wheels on the vehicle I guess they don't look out of place? I have been struggling with liking them myself. I won't knock the forum members opinions though.

Looking nice. I like the color. The only drawback to those wheels & tires would be if you took it off road or hit a huge chuck hole. There is very little sidewall to absorb the shock which could lead to a bent rim. I would consider trying to find a set of steelies & tires for the winter. Congrats on the new ride.

Welcome to the forum! Ditto Double D. Those rims are for street use and probably best in fairweather conditions. Don't know how much off-roading you'll do with a 4x2, or what your terrain is. The 4x2 will do well in trail situations, and its likely the best FWD out there in snow. You're from the midwest? That's a big area. Snow country? Don't know what kind of snow treads are available in whatever size those rims are, but a good aggressive tread will let you breathe easier come January. From what I read there are more choices with the 16s than the 17s.

I agree about the wheels and tires, I wish it just had the stock wheels that were standard with the limited edition, I need to see about getting some, when we get really bad weather I usually have a snow day and get to stay home BUT I feel like one flat tire and I am buying a new wheel. They were not our choice that is for sure.

Check your local craigslist for the stock 17's then sell the aftermarket wheels. You might even make money out of doing it. Personally I wouldn't want to drive with those on in the winter...

In agreement gotta get some different wheels and tires.
