It did a fantastic job! However, I managed to get some on the lower black trim pieces and bumper parts. Any suggestions on how to remove it? It kinda looks crappy.

I have always used this stuff:

A little bit goes a long way

It will usually scrub off the black, with some effort.

Thanx for the suggestions. I think i'll just try to scrub it off with a brush first before using any goo off stuff....

Any suggestions for how to apply wax/polish and not get it on the trim? Should i use painters tape? ;)

I usually do the black trim pieces first, Armor All, or whatever you use, helps to keep the wax from sticking if you mess up. Generally I try to be very careful around those parts, like the door handles on mine, to avoid getting wax on them. The old Ounce of Prevention method.

I don't remember having this problem with the 2010 last year.... but the 2011 has so much more trim... :(

I did a little more research before trying to remove the white waxy stuff from the trim. I tried soap and a scrubber brush (like a nail brush) but that didn't work. Then I tried peanut butter and a toothbrush... Worked like a friggin charm!

That is an old trick for fixing light scratches in wooden furniture. The nut oils seem to have good properties for covering up light colored marks.

The Nu Finish polish did an amazing job. Looks good. Feels super slick.
I just got a little 'loosy-goosy' with it around the trim and regretted it.

The Nu-Finish website FAQ said to use Mineral Spirits to remove any excess from plastic trim, but i didn't have any of that stuff kicking around. So, to save a trip to the store, i tried the PB trick. It makes me wonder what else PB can do.... lol

I've been using Nu Finish for years. First on my Honda Civic, now on my Pat. It does an amazing job! Makes a real glass-like finish.

And yes, I have a few spots that I need to clean up, too...

That nu-finish does work well. I fell prey to marketing and ended up buying some of their Scratch Doctor, and it did help with some small scratches as well.
