To do a standard picture you use the
Link to picture command
This command is provided by Photobucket when you view your album.

However to do thumbnails you must either have a thumbnail picture and a high-res pic or with photobucket they provided the thumbnail. You just have to know how to get it.
To get a thumbnail you would put a 'th_' in front of the picture name
example

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v506/DrugRunR/Jeep/th_DSC_0398.jpg
Which would give you the following
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v506/DrugRunR/Jeep/th_DSC_0398.jpg
That would give you just the thumbnail.
However thumbnails aren't good for anything when it comes to really looking at a picture. So you do a URL in the picture.
It is a little more time consuming, but it isn't that bad

LINK TO THUMB (LINK TO PIC)

Here is a example of a Click to HIGH RES picture

How do I post full size pics directly in my threads or replies?
Is it only done through photobucket or can I post them directly in these forums?

To post full sized pics into a thread, you will need to have them uploaded somewhere on the internet. You can use photobucket or any number of other free hosts. Once you have the url of the photo, you can follow the directions above.
