I am thinking of starting a Central Alberta Patriot Owners Club. Anyone interested? I think it would be great to meet, face to face, any other Patriot owners.

Just a thought, let me know. :smiley_thumbs_up:

I may be up for something like that...however I'm in Cold Lake, and I'm not sure what your idea of "Central" Alberta is.

I would be willing to do an Alberta Patriots Club, if that would get more members. I am based out of Red Deer. Let me know.

G'Day Booster/PDM....for what it's worth, I'm based out of bustling metropolis of R/D also (I've only got the FWD model)....the idea of a club sounds cool....the challenge is in generating enough interest. I'm not sure if you're aware, but another Calgary based member (Paladin) had organized a bbq/meet in Calgary back in May and the only other member that showed up was NeilCrichton from Claresholm. They made the best of it anyhow in spite of the dismal turnout. Paladin was quite enthusiastic in planning the event, sending personal invites to all the Alberta-based members (including me) that he could find on this forum. I couldn't make as I was working. God bless Paladin for his efforts anyways (he seems to have disappeared from the forum since that event). In any event, for the time being, I'll 'sign on the dotted line'....can I be 'Vice Prez'?! (lol) :huddle:

What is the difference between a club and a social group??

I'm up for a gang of 'rioteers. I, too, am located in Calgary. It would be nothing to tear up to Dead Reer for a day to chew the fat.

I remember that, out of 14 that confirmed only 2 showed up. All the others either had to work, became ill ect. ect.

Nasty !

I got my first road tripping km`s on my jeep last week!

Calgary to Drumheller
Calgary to Edmonton
and
Calgary to Castle Mountain

Put just over 2000km on last week! I`m actually very impressed out the riot handles the highways!

Nice to hear you went on your first roadtrip with the Pat, I was actually around the castle mountain area last week as well, i've been to lazy to post the pictures, even got stuck too! (But with 4x4 and a shovel your not stuck for long  )

Do you have any pictures of you Pat?

Were you riding in the Beaver Mines area? My friend told me there are some fun trails in there. We didn't go on any of them, we just stuck to the ski hill, was too tired after riding to do anything other then collapse haha.

I haven't really had a chance to do a photo shoot of my Pat yet, I'm very busy for the next two months with school.

It is just the 2007 base model, all black, no fancy packages (that is for me to modify myself ;) )

I did tour around the beaver mine areas a bit although I don't know my way around that area very well. The places I did get somewhat adventerous (stuck) were around the Shell Wateron plant near Pecten. Alot of the trails are closed for the winter but there are a few that were relatively safe to go down.

If your ever interested in taking a tour sometime feel free to PM me.

I would for sure like to do that this summer! And friend of mine and I were talking about it already (he drives a Ranger, boo).

We should try to plan something though, get a few more Jeeps out.

Not sure if this club is still going strong or not, but I'd be interested in meeting other Alberta Riot owners. Count me in if you're still counting..
