Been on the forums for quite awhile. Has there been any thought of a chat service for members etc... nothing fancy just for those who want to chat about parts, mods, problems?

I feel it would ad alot of comradely to this great forum.

It's happening right now, on this Website. You talk about Parts Modifications and Technical problems right here, don't you? Now a Full BS Hotline is another story. Whata you want for FREE ?

I think he means a chat room similar to the old AOL style rooms that would allow users to talk in real time, instead of through posts. If I'm not wrong, it is a function of vbulletin and wouldn't cost anything to add. So yes, like the whole website, this could be free. I don't think he meant that he wanted jeeppatriot.com to set up a manned call center to respond to his problems.

If this does cost something, an AOL chatroom or other service could easily be set up by a user for free. You wouldn't have to be a site supporter to use it either. The problem with these is that no one really uses them after the first few weeks they are released and they aren't moderated so you have some jerks who feel like it's their chance to be jerks with no recourse.

I was thinking something very similar to the old AOL not a call center.... I don't have the computer experience to set something up like vbulletin but it looked cool, just curious if anyone else was interested. You can go to all the off road shops you want but no one takes the patriot serious... and people here know exactly for instance front tow hook install, lights etc....

Just seeig if anyone thought about it or had any plans thanks for the input.
