I am looking at purchasing and lifting a compass in the very near future.

Before I do, I was wondering when using the RRO lift kit, what was the largest size tire that has been fit with out bad rubbing? What kind of mileage are you getting after lifting? And is the manual or auto better?

I havnt owned a jeep before, but I have always thought of real jeeps being manual. They are just hard to find in my price range. There is one I am looking at in my price range, but its 450miles away. Where an auto (same features pretty much) same price is 180miles away.

I live in rural MN and will be using this so I can park my Silverado. So the 4wd offroad capabiblities is a big thing for me.

Oh yeah, the manual is a 2008, the auto is 2007. Any difference there? Should I drive the extra 270miles for the manual?

so far the most average size is 225/70/r16 for no rubbing and its only about 1.1in taller. the 225/75/r16 has had quite a few people with rubbing at full lock while turning. and some have even put a 235/70/r16 with a lift and possibly spacers. you'll have to talk to them though, im still currently looking into the RRO lift as well.

as for the trans, only the trail rated fd2 comes in auto, with the low range, even though i have an auto i would prefer an man. if going off road, you can do the rock-n-roll when stuck, better mileage.

mpg-22 average
highway around 25.

Well since I can't find a good deal on a manual compass. (didn't enjoy the cvt) anyone know the mpg difference of the patriot? Any pros to cons between the 2?
