Just got an Email from Jeep UK, its all about the Introduction of the 2011 Compass to the UK...Not a lot of Info , just pics & a load of advertising blurb. I registered myself to be kept informed.
At the same time the phone rang & it was the salesman from my dealer. I Told him it was strange that I just got a Compass mail & then he phones me.
He said Compass should be launched in UK April 15th, & he is sending me an Invite to the preview show on the 10th.
He said the range will be Sport Plus & Limited also a 70th Anniverary Edition. He said there should be both Diesel & Petrol versions & later a 2 litre manual version . This will be a new 2 litre engine , not the old VVT World engine & be available with 4x2 & will be good on price, economy & emmisions. He told me
Patriot will be dropped in UK 2012--13.
He has no news of a replacement. I asked about a new smaller Jeep to slip in under Patriot /Compass . He did not have a lot of news , but told me anything smaller would probably get FIAT badges in UK & sold through their dealerships.
Come the summer the new Chrysler Ypsilon & Delta will be available UK.He seemed quite upbeat & commented that there are a lot of exciting changers about to happen....lets hope so!!
