Just purchased a new 07 black limited 4x4 patriot and think its a great little truck for the money. Its the first chrysler/jeep i have ever had, alway's been a gm guy. Hopefully i could like this jeep as much as my previous gm's. Anyway's i just wanted to state that im only getting 19.7 mpg on my truck and i have been reading that it should get better. I have 1500 km on the truck and was wondering if it will get better as i get more km on the truck. (hopefully it does). Let me know if thats normal. I drive in the city and dont floor the gas . Thanks ! Give it some time and your mileage should improve. When I got mine, I was getting about 19 and now I consistently get 25. Today, I got almost 27 and I forgot the last time I saw anything lower than 23, and I've got a bit of a lead foot! I do mostly highway driving, though, remember city driving will always yield lower MPG due to all the stop and go. swankymclovin 09-11-2007, 10:59 PM I drive on the highways and my Patriot is about a week old and i'm getting around 18mpg. Not as good as I would hope but only costs about $30 to fill the tank.
