Hello everyone
Anyone knows why Compass uses bigger tire than Patriot?
17" or 18" for Compass
16" or 17" for Patriot
Thanks

My general rationalization:
More sidewall is better off-road
Less sidewall is better for on-road
But in a few months after both cars are available you should be able to directly swap on the larger rims if you wanted. Just be aware of the tirepressure sensors...

Actually more sidewall on the street gives a slighty softer ride, compared to a smaller sidewall of a performance tire. I used to install tires at my bro-in-law's shop. Try a drive in a friend's car with the ultra thin 35's sidewalls, and go to a 60 series... you would feel the difference.

yea this is true, my dad has an infiniti g35 with very thin tires and you can feel every pot hole. our escalade on the other hand hits holes and bumps and you can hardly feel them
sorrry for the double post
