No not that sort of flashing. Having been a biker for many years, who always flash thier headlights at other bikers and also owned cars of certain makes that do the same when they see oncoming cars of the same make I just wondered if anybody out there has ever been flashed by another patriot or indeed flashes them. At the moment Pats are fairly rare out there so when I do see one my finger hovers over the flasher lever in anticipation but no one has done it yet, Perhaps I should do it first to start a trend.

Meh... flashing can be perceived as warning, but otherwise is annoying, especially in the city. Just have your hand at the top of the wheel in anticipation, and give a wave :)
Just my opinion

Headlamp flashing in the uk is a complex thing. It is used universally as a signal to another vehicle or pedestrian etc. that you are giving way to them.It is an accepted practice that everyone understands. In our goverment issued highway code it clearly states, and has always done that a flash of the headlights should only be used as a warning of your presence, as you can see it has the makings of potential problem if both systems were used. The highway code in their infinite wisdom refuse to remove it from their guidelines. To complicate it even further, it is also used by many as a hello to any other motorist you might know coming towards you. It is also used (illegally) as a warning to other motorists of a police speed trap or other danger.

True statement. I guess ultimately it depends on location and culture. In urban US.... I would stick with waiving at fellow Patriots. Rural US.. everyone waves anyways. Around here, I typically stick with flashing for letting someone know their lights or off, or they have a briefcase on their roof :)
