I often find myself laughing with some of the posts on here. You know you are reading about something on JP.com and someone posts a clever, quirky, ironic, sarcastic, whatever type of remark and I will literally laugh out loud. I would like to have a thumbs up or "like" button added to each post so people can get credit for their wit! Sure I could post a comment referring to their comment, but that can cause us all to get off topic and add unnecessary posts.

Anyone seen this on other forums? Any one else think it's a good idea?

It's different from a "like" button though. To me, a like button can just say you enjoyed the post. If the same person makes his next post as entertaining, you cannot use the scales (adding rep has to be spread around according to the site) but you could use the "like" button.
I see where both would be beneficial or at least both would be used.
I don't particularly agree with the restrictions of the rep system so I tend to not use it myself.
Admin? Any chance of seeing something like a "Like" button in the future? It might help if no weight was lent to this feature, just eye candy.
If we didn't get this feature it's not going to be the end of the world but it would be kind of nice.:)
