OK Folks, we had a winter meet last year. I'm just wondering if there is any interest in one this winter? Let me know. Check out the thread from last year if interested.

No interest? At least this will bump the thread.

This would be more of a meet and greet than a trail run. Plenty of snow around, had a bunch of snowmobiles out this past weekend.

North Central Pennsylvania area. So PA, New York, and maybe Ohio folks?

I would do it in a heart beat if I were in the area. Not much snow down here

I'd love to come back up Dixie, but being unemployed, I simply can't afford the gas right now. I drive very little these days, I haven't put gas in my tank in three weeks!

Damn Todd, was really good to meet you last year, sorry to hear you can't make it.

I hope you find something soon. I did give your resume to our HR folks, not sure if you'd move or not anyway, but maybe something will come of that.

Thanks Dixie, I have received a few emails from your company, but all the jobs are too far away. With the house/mortgage and all, I can't move.

Well, for some of those they should pay relocation, but I know how it can be sometimes with family, etc in a certain area, not too far from there though. And this is a great place to work.

I'll keep trying.

Local snow cams

If you snowmobile, bring your sled, good trails abound.

That snowcam is near my place, on the same mountain as my place, looks to be almost 1.5 feet as of this morning. I'm heading up soon, leaving here at 10:00, should be a fun ride up the side of the mountain today.

I'm taking the Patriot, meeting my wife part way there since I'm leaving from work. She's taking the Tracker. We both have 4 chains with us, so hopefully we both make it up my driveway/lane. When it gets this deep, there's a chance of getting high centered, so hopefully we both make it.

Well my wife made it up the hill in front of me, but tore up the road, made it tougher on me to avoid sliding into ditches and ruts. So part of the way up I was going semi sideways, but still made it up. Lots of snow and very cold this weekend. Came back to Pgh yesterday on my own, and it's become quite cold, was -8F this morning when I left for work.

If no interest in a meet soon, I'll just drop this idea I guess.

But Butch, give me a call or e-mail if you can, I still have those posters to give you.
