I think the Gladiator is a tad bigger than a Patriot... being that the Wrangler is a tad bigger than a Patriot and the Gladiator is basically a Wrangler Unlimited with a box (based on everything I've read about it)... also I'm pretty sure (actually quite confident ;)) the 2.4 "world engine" wouldn't move a Wrangler/Gladiator very well, let alone very efficiently, otherwise I think you would have seen it offered in the new Wrangler. Last official news I saw on this was about six months ago when Chrysler discontinued the Gladiator program. :( carpandean 04-06-2007, 09:45 PM The Gladiator won't be built and, no, it was not built on the Wrangler chassis. In fact, it pre-dated the Wrangler JK that took several style details from it.
