Hello all, I have a question regarding the replacement of a drivers door window regulator with power windows for an 07 compass. Is this a difficult task? I have All Data for the vehicle and it doesn't look too tough.

Here is the background:

LAst week my wife rolled her window down, when she rolled it back up the front of the window fell into the door. I pulled the window up as she hit the button so it went back up. Got it home and pulled off the arm rest pannel and I could see the cables hanging loose, and the window guide (the plastic thing the window seats in that goes up and down) detached from the window. Activating the window switch only moves the rear lifter for the window. I was told by a bowling buddy that owns a shop that the window regulator was shot and to just pick up a new one and put it in. Teardown looks easy, just wondering if anyone has replaced the part in their Patriot or Compass or Calibur?
