Would sway bar disconnects free up alot of flex on the Patriot?

With IFS I'm sure they would. Same would go for the IRS since the sway bars limit the amount of droop. You'd get better contact off-road in some of those interesting situations. :p

the market might, or might not come up with some quick disconnects... only time will tell at this stage.

Since I'm planning on buying a Patriot in the future and am planning to take it on the trail I really hope they'll make discos. But is it more complicated to make for an independent suspension? And harder to disconnect if they made some?

Not that I am aware of... the Liberty uses IFS and they recently got disco's... I don't have them on mine.

You could always unbolt the links before hitting a trail and then tether the bar up and out of the way?

Edit: Thought I'd throw up this pic to show the KJ setup...

The front sway bar link is off to the left there

I think they would help some. Not nearly as much as on a solid axle setup though. I've yet to get my patriot up on a lift at work and look around underneth but I'm sure unbolting the swaybar probably isn't that hard.
