Anyone getting this service done by the dealer periodically? I received the aerosol Buff N Shine directly from Auto Butler and will be doing it myself but was wondering what the best pre-treatment would be for bug stains, etc after a good power wash?

Try using Turtle wax Bug & Tar Remover. You may not like the smell of it but it really works.

Do you know what the active ingredients are in the Turtle Wax remover? The Auto Butler folks are telling me to just use a heavy wet coat of the Buff-n-Shine on the trouble spots.

At our detail shop, the toughest spots get tarminator:

The only thing stronger than that is our wheel acid, which we don't use on paint. Another product we use often is called Erase. I can't find a website for it, and don't know where you can even get the stuff, but it works well and we use it on everything from paint to leather. Just have to be careful about some dashboards as it will take the paint off of some plastics. As with any powerful product like that, make sure to test in an inconspicuos location.
