Diesel Jeep Wranglers spotted plus LWB 2-door

Three Jeep Wranglers sporting "CRD" badges have been spotted doing some cold weather testing—and one being a LWD 2-door model! Could this test mule be the basis for a future Jeep pickup? Also check out the rear leaf springs and extended frame jutting out from the back, which also suggest a pickup is in the works.

Jeep has sold diesel Wranglers and LWB 2-door models in other markets, and is now considering selling them in North America.

The service information for the export Wrangler shows the 6 spd or the 545RFE automatic with the 2.8 CRD.
