This will be an expedition through the most remote part of Canyonlands known as "The Maze District". People will arrive in MOAB on 5/24 and we'll have dinner at the famous "Pasta Jays" and set out in the morning on 5/25.
We will be in the back country for 3 nights and 4 days which includes camping along the shores of Lake Powell. Due to limited camping areas and NPS regs this event is limited to 9 vehicles and I already have 5 confirmed and 2 maybes.
You vehicle will need skids and real tires (no street tires). The forum section is on LOST and should be open soon: Pastafari (http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=142)
If you do go, I promise a transformative trip.
An update:
As of today we have 6 vehicles committed which leaves 3 open slots.

Well you can all go eat dirt... oh wait that's what I wanted to do too! LOL! You better have some REAL cameras snapping and nice camcorders rolling (none of that cell-phone cam crap) so the rest of us can join this "transformative" venture when the time comes. :P
Update: we had a cancellation so we have space for one vehicle on the permit.
Update: as of 4/9 there are no more openings on the permits. There is an alternate list with 3 names on it so far.

wow. ya'll need to come up to British Columbia. No permits needed and thousands of miles of logging roads and skidder trails all over the place.

yeah... that's what they're trying to avoid.
Here are some vid/slide shows of our epic expedition through the Maze. I did not produce the vids so I have no control over it's desperate need for music. Many of the vids are from a camera mounted to the roof of my 4Runner. The silver KJ CRD is mine but I am not driving it. The sloshing sounds are from the roof-mounted fuel container.

The final night was spent at Blue Notch which was awesome. Special thanks to Kurt @ Cruiser Outfitters who helped me plan the route.
