Hello from Northern BC. I'm a very junior member - my first post on any forum! - but at 60 definitely not a junior citizen. Just back from trekking near Everest and ready to continue my passion of exploring the canyons of the Southwest. My 25 year old Honda Accord is getting a little dicey for the likes of the Canyonlands Maze, so it is time for an adventure vehicle...my first Jeep.

Welcome to the board fellow Canuck - Nova Scotia here. Sounds like you got your moneys worth out of your Accord.

- I think the Jeep Patriot will be extremely popluar with Canadians.

I think PatriotFan is right that the Patriot will be popular in Canada. For starters, there are a large number of Canucks registered on this site. With Toyota deleting AWD from the Matrix, RAV4 owners having to rig their own guards to protect the fuel cannisters from being damaged even on paved roads, and the CR-V with reduced ground clearance, folks with challenging on-road and even modest off-road needs may find the Patriot a good alternative.
