What are your thoughts on using a zero weight synth oil?

I really am a believer in the synth oils as I have personally seen incredible longevity in the engines my family and friends are running with the 100% synth. Recently, I have started seen some articles on zero weight oil putting out a great HP and MPG improvement... but at what cost?

Can the Pat's engine live off of it?

Here is one article (http://www.performanceoilnews.com/oils_against_oils.shtml) about what I am talking about.

I've run Mobil 1 0w40 on my past two performance cars with great results. After reading many articles online it seemed to be a great choice, but since the Patriot is not performance oriented I'm not using it now.

By that, do you mean that the Patriot's engine is not up to the same tight tolerances of a performance engine? Are the components more lightweight in nature? (nothing wrong with that as it is a mass produced engine - just wondering out of curiousity.)
