Jeep Terrain Park Challenge

BIWABIK – Giants Ridge® Golf & Ski Resort is a host site for the Jeep Terrain Park Challenge on Sunday, February 4, 2007.

The Jeep Terrain Park Challenge is a national ski and snowboard amateur series held across North America. The grassroots Terrain Park Challenge complements the daring Jeep King of the Mountain professional series, and encourages amateur participation in snow sports at terrain parks for people of all ages.

The Terrain Park Challenge invites all skiers and boarders to show their moves on the rails, jumps and other terrain park obstacles. The top female and male ski and snowboard participants from each Jeep Terrain Park host site will advance to one of the six regional competitions...

...The Terrain Park Challenge is a spin-off from the Jeep King of the Mountain Series, which was introduced in 1992, and has experienced substantial growth ever since. Thirty-two of the world’s top skiers and snowboarders compete head-to-head each season for the coveted World Professional Champion title and a share of the richest prize purse in the industry, including $450,000 (U.S.), $20,000 (U.S.) in bonuses from John Paul Mitchell Systems and the keys to a new 2007 Jeep Patriot. Jeep has been the title sponsor for the Jeep King of the Mountain Series since 1993.
