: HELP Please!! Jeep Service in the South West UK

My wife has a Jeep Patriot CRD Ltd which is out of warranty. It has developed an intermittent "whine" which I surmise is related to the turbo. I want the car placed on a diagnostic rig to in order to check all the pressures etc and to put my mind at rest.

Here is the problem. The Chrysler Jeep dealer in the SW has recently closed both branches and the nearest dealer is 120 miles away in Cardiff!! Jeep UK unfortunately cannot come up with a good idea. I have taken the car to 2 excellent VAG independent specialists and both connected the car to VAGCom diagnostics but cannot get more than very basic information

ANY ideas? ANY suggestions?
Anybody got the equivalent Jeep diagnostic software.?
Anybody know a good Patriot engineer in the South West UK?

Really, any constructive suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I do not want this to spoil my great Patriot experience to date

I am SW & always used Kings Chrysler , Cheltenham & Gloucester,Cheltenham Rd. East, Staverton , Glos. Tel: 01452 854800.

Are you far from Cheltenham/Gloucester ?? Or give them a ring & see if they can help.

Check the Tubo pipe clips, they are just plastic ties not proper jubilee clips. Shove the pipes on good & tight & check the plastic clips are holding....just a thought!!

According to the Jeep UK website Carrs of Exeter dont sell Jeep any more but are still an authorised service & parts agent.

:doh:Panic over "Whistley" is correct! Carrs in Exeter still service Jeeps and they already had a look at it and isolated the issue to a solenoid, the car is booked in next week! It is really funny that the customer care man in Jeep HQ does not know the status - according to Carrs this is by no means the first time this has happened. Thanks to you both for your quick response.
