Just uploaded my Patriot pics from the DC Auto Show!!! They had two Patroits there.

Bad news. Its a little shorter than thought it would be. The 16" rims are a no go. There might be a problem with the location of the a/c condenser. All thats between your A/C and a rock or curb is the plastic of your bumper.

Good news. The Partiot looks much better in person! My wife now likes the Patroit more than the Compass. The khaki interior looks much better than the black/grayish interior. The 17" rims look good. The cargo area is nice and big(width/depth). That stupid sliver Limited bumper thingy looks like it shouldn't be too hard to rip off. I'm sure the Patriot will crush the competition!!! :D

I agree with all that you wrote about it. My wife said the same thing, too.

Seeing the two rims side by side... it was no question the 17" rims look a lot better.

Thanks for the shots and review!

The dark grayish interior does feel kind of cheap. The khaki interior looks great IMHO! Driver and front passenger have plenty of room. Front seats are very comfortable. The height ajdustment on the driver seat is very nice. Steering wheel is comfortable and gauges are easy to read. Driver visibility is good all around except the rear. Rear visibility is somewhat limited by the small rear window and rear seat headrests. Mirrors are large and postioned well. Rear seat has a good amount of leg room (more rear leg room than the XJ). Rear seats are not as comfortable as up front but the reclining feature is great. The YES! fabic looks great and is comfortable. Cargo area is spacious about the same amount space as the XJ. Plenty of room for a pet carrier and/or soccer balls. Spare tire is located under cargo area floor. All and all I was impressed with the interior. It is very comfortable and functional. :D

One thing I noticed while looking under the Patriot's hood is how much unused space there is above the engine. Plenty of room for a turbo!?!?!? :D
