So I've been thinking about a new car for awhile now. Anyways I ran across what I think as a really really good deal. Chime in and let me know.

2004 GC Limited 4wd

http://www.cherrywheels.com/dm/VehicleDetails.php?ID=14340

The quick lowdown...

4.7 V8 HO
70k miles
Leather
Sunroof
17's
Towing
Nav Sys

$14,900 (Edmunds.com $20,500!, NADA )

Is it worth it, I'm def tempted...

Price isn't bad. Miles are kinda high for a 3yo vehicle. I would pass.

I owned a 04 G.C. Overland previously (with the 4.7L v8 HO ) ..good car...I never had any major problems with it....compared with the newer version of the G.C. which started in 2005, your head tends to bob around a bit when going over rough terrain...it is a great looking SUV and the engine sounds great and has plenty of power! I found the front seats very comfortable and there is a good amount of storage room in the back --in fact slightly more than the redesigned 2005 version (and the rear seats fold flat as well....and I mean flat, not tilted slightly up like most newer vehicles including the newer G.C.)..

This is NOT a vehicle that is fuel efficient, so you will have to take this into consideration when buying it. It also does have a few miles on it so down the road, you may need to spend some money to maintain it....

....certainly, if you are looking for a vehicle that is larger than the Patriot (exterior and interior), much nicer inside, and has much more engine power and towing capacity then this is the vehicle for you BUT again....do not expect good fuel efficiency...I would say the price is average based on the Black book values (Canadian with the U.S. exchange rate taken into account)....not a great deal but not a bad deal....

...good luck with your decision....

I actually decedied to pass. One because of fuel, two because I wrecked my car pretty bad last night. Now for the forseeable future I am in insurance limbo.

The NADA retail on my car is $9700 but I have a little unibody car that spun a few times and needs lots of new bodywork as well as unknown engine work. I won't even talk to an aduster till Wed.

BLAH!

Sorry to hear that RockLAX....I hope the insurance adjuster is a good guy...perhaps you can look at buying a Patriot down the road at some point...

That sucks!!! Hopefully you can find a Patriot near you. If not you can always go with a Compass. Maybe you can get a good deal on a Liberty or even a new Grand Cherokee. Good Luck!!! :D
