Hello,
Just completed my first oil change and I was shocked to see the condition of my plastic stone guard that underlies the oil pan and oil filter. I already have three large holes busted in it, plus a couple other large cracks. The roads are extremely muddy dirt roads in the winter which get deep ruts in them because of neighbors with humungous diesel duelies bogging down. So when I drive out in the morning the mud is frozen and if I get my tire placement just wrong, BAM, the ridge of a deep frozen rut hits the plate and crack it goes. So if I try to get this replaced under warranty in the springtime would the dealership say "Hey tough, you chose to drive over those roads" or would it be covered? What do you all think?
