Hi all,
I am waiting for my Jeep Patriot to come in. I have owned three vehicles in my life... and my Patriot will be my third Jeep.
I had Wranglers previously, but decided to try something new this time. I unfortunately end up doing more long distance driving than off-roading... so I am trying something new.
I am pretty excited...its got a lot of good options, looking forward to the heated seats!

Welcome to the forum!!! What type did you get along with what options if you don't mind telling us. I am waiting for my Patriot to come in as well, and I am not taking the waiting well.

I know how you feel... having a difficult time with the waiting as well.
I got the Limited w/ Freedom I package. I can't understand why Jeep is even making 4 x 2 (I suppose to offer cheaper cars for some people but still... it is a bit of a sacrilege in my opinion). As much as I feel all jeeps should be manual, I had to go with Automatic this time unfortunately. I pretty much got all the options except: 9 speaker audio system, 6-disc changer.
I am also a little disappointed that it is only available in a 4CL--again its like getting a 4CL, automatic Wrangler... it shouldn't happen. Perhaps I am a bit of a Jeep snob, and I apologize to any that might offend... just MHO which doens't mean much in the real world.

I hope the 4CL doesn't let me down in limited off roading. I know FD1 isn't train rated but I want to atleast take it off the road even if it is trail running.

Welcome! I agree 4x2 is sacrilege! You're not a Jeep snob the Patriot should have a diesel option! :D

I don't know about diesel...but its nice to be able to speak those opinions without others bashing me for them! My husband doesn't drive manual... so I had to get an automatic in case he ever needs to drive it.
I was considering the FDII package... but I don't get that much serious off-roading in to need 4WD low and the $$ unfortunately is always a factor!

I'm not quite sure right now. A very close friend happens to work at a Jeep dealership... so I usually can get a discount, but since these are brand new, I may not.
I actually just heard from him... mine will be the first one his dealership sells... ship date of 2/7! It was supposed to take like 6 weeks...
