They said it was a Limited (hardly any extras, just the Boston package) in white. No autostick. It did not have the off-road package, nor did it have a sticker on it yet so I was not able to drive it.

You can't judge this Jeep by the pictures. I was expecting it to be really small, it's not. In fact, it was crammed in between a couple of Cherokees and didn't look out of place. Besides the height, which is fine imo, it looked as big as any other vehicle it was around.

The one thing that was disappointing was the interior. It looked cheap. A lot of plastic. The plastic looked cheap. Maybe the beige interior looks better, this had the slate. Overall, I really did like the exterior look in person - much more than the interior.

Even if it was available to be road tested I think I would have passed. I want to check out the autostick and an off-road package vehicle. Now that I've seen one in person I think I'll be able to wait more patiently. There will most likely be no incentives and little haggle ability. Easier said than done, though.

If you are looking for a nicer interior, you might want to wait for a 2008 Liberty....the off-road package won't be available for another month, according to the dealer rep....

At the Jeep website. I just checked inventory of all the dealers in my area. If you live in MD, Darcars Rockville.

I just checked and I'm in Alexandria. I'm going to the DC auto show this weekend. No test drive but maybe they'll have one at Camp Jeep.

i agree with the cheap interior.. but we'll see if driving one will help me to be able to deal with it ....

Well, if they come out with another diesel engine option in the 2008 Liberty (like some websites are suggesting),
you might get very similar mileage to the Patriot....I'm still considering a 2008 Liberty myself...

It's not that kind of tet drive... I thought it was, too. It is just a link to their vehicle info page (interior/exterior/specs/etc) pretty much the same exact stuff you see on Jeep.com

I haven't been to the Auto Show... yet..... It's $10/per person not including parking. They are supposed to have the Jeep Hurricane there though... or at least that's what's in their ad (http://www.paragonexpo.com/319_VEHICLE_GALLERY_.html).

found a white sport in inventory in lawrenceville, ga ... i'm headed that way tomorrow anyway, so i'll be taking my camera. i'll try for a test drive. i'm not expecting it to look good ... it's white w/ the styled steel and no extra 1" of lift, so brace yourselves ... but i should have pics up by tomorrow afternoon. maybe i'll even photoshop them to look dented up ... just to make dcx mad. nah ...

I found a Jeep Patriot at a local Pittsburgh, PA dealership. Libertery Avenue Jeep/Chrysler has a white one in their show room -- no test drives. This one is being reserved for the Pittsburgh Auto Show.

The wife and I are going to go see it tomorrow. I'll be sure to take some pictures. We're anxious to see how much cargo room it has. Hopefully it's big enough for our dogs' crate.

I just saw that the largest Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge dealer in Las Vegas has one. A stone white Limited 4 x 2. I hope they still have it next Saturday so I can check it out. I just can't actually buy one thanks to my wife who has threatened me with bodily harm and divorce if I do.
