Jeep(R) Vehicle Owners Will Head to Charlottesville, VA July 26-28 for Camp Jeep 2007

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Camp Jeep(R)
2007, the annual three-day mix of off-road driving and other
family-friendly outdoor activities, will be held July 26-28 at the Oak
Ridge Estate in Nelson County, VA, near Charlottesville.

Details about specific events will be announced later, but will
definitely include trails for 4-wheeling, vehicle displays, activities for
all ages, food and musical entertainment, and the opportunity for owners to
talk about the ins and outs of their vehicles with Jeep engineers.

Registration for Camp Jeep, which is open only to Jeep vehicle owners,
has been reduced by $100 from last year's fees. Early bird registration is
$245 per vehicle through March 31. After that, Camp Jeep registration is
$295 per vehicle. Registration and additional information are available at
http://www.jeep.com/campjeep.

"Camp Jeep is one of the premier owner-loyalty events in America, and
the Blue Ridge Mountains are a beautiful backdrop for this hugely popular
event," said John Plecha, Director - Jeep Marketing and Global
Communications. "The last time Camp Jeep was held in Charlottesville in
2004, nearly 10,000 Jeep vehicle owners and their families attended, making
it the best-attended Camp Jeep ever. The Jeep vehicle lineup has expanded
since then. That, plus the lower registration fees, and we could set a new
attendance record this year."

Four Jeep vehicles had been introduced, but were not yet on sale, when
Camp Jeep was held last year at Road America at Elkhart Lake, WI. New
owners of the redesigned 2007 Jeep Wrangler 2-door, the all-new 2007
Wrangler Unlimited 4-door, the all-new 2007 Jeep Compass and the all-new
2007 Jeep Patriot will be driving those vehicles to Camp Jeep for the first
time. They will be joined by owners driving other models in the Jeep
family: the Jeep Liberty, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Commander. As in
previous Camp Jeep events, owners are also expected to arrive with such
Jeep heritage vehicles as CJs, Cherokees and Wagoneers.

This is the sixth time that Camp Jeep has been held at the Oak Ridge
Estate. The first Camp Jeep was held in Camp Hale, CO in 1995.

I'm just hoping I have mine in time for Jeep Safari in Moab, UT this year. It's scheduled for Easter weekend. I just hope that I stand out amongst the other jeeps

incredible... I want to go! Is this something that a 25-year old single guy could go to and meet some people, or do I start recruiting friends and family to go along with me?

If you like, go solo. It's a great way to meet new friends. I always thought it was nice to try and take someone who has never been on trails before and watch their reactions--both to the trails and the entire events at Camp Jeep.

I haven't been to a Camp jeep yet, but I did attend Jeep Jamboree last year at Paragon Adventure park in the Poconos in Pennsylvania. They gave away a lot of free items. Gift certificates to Quadratec, goodyear, Sirius and other vendors. The total items given away were about 20.

There is lots of "stuff" at Camp Jeep. They give you a goody bag when you enter with lots of neat things. Once inside they have a large tent that is basically a Jeep store with all the things they have on their web site for sale plus much more. Last year they must of been trying to clean house of older items becasue they were selling Camp Jeep t-shirts for $1.00 each and had thousands of them. Most of them had the Camp Jeep New York logo on them which was cool.
The other thing is the Mopar parts area of the store. They have all the Jeep accessories on display and many for sale that you can take home with you.
Besides the Jeep/Mopar tent there is plenty of the big off-road vendors with tents and displays selling and giving away stuff.
If you have never been you have to go, it's way cool!:smiley_thumbs_up:

I would like to drive out west for one. We live in Illinois so either direction is fine with us.

Anyone know if they set up those ramps like at the NY Auto show had.

And if a Patriot (standard 4x4) could even get over them.

Or would you have to have the FDII.

Camp Jeep is open to any Jeep, there were even Compasses at the last one in Wisconsin. Jeep Jamboree's are different though and they require attending jeeps to at least have a 4wd Low gear, with other offroad upgrades encouraged.

Hey Jeep Owner’s,

If you're all set to attend Camp Jeep 2007 and you want to sign up for an event, it's not too late, just head on over to the http://www.jeep.com/jeep_life/events/camp_jeep/ site and register.

As a side note: Camp Jeep 2007 is being held July 26-28 in the Blue Ridge Mountains at Oak Ridge Estate, Virginia, just outside of Charlottesville.

All available events are for Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 7:00 AM & 10:00AM
Event Type: All 4x4 Trails
Trail Level: Advanced, Intermediate and Scenic
Date: Thursday July 26, 2007
Times: 7:00 AM & 10:00 AM

You have to be a registered 2007 Camp Jeep attendee to add one of the open events, and you can only sign up for 2 trail rides (in total)… so if you're already signed up for a couple of other events (different dates or times) you won't be able to add another.... I know it's a bummer, but what are ya gonna do right?

Anyway, this is it... I just wanted to spread the good news... If you're interested go to http://www.jeep.com/jeep_life/events/camp_jeep/ and update your registration... Enjoy!

2007 Camp Jeep attendees,

The staff at Camp Jeep would like to extend their thanks to all who attended this year's successful event. We had an outstanding turnout. This year’s attendance shattered 2006 participation figures!

Just dropping a note to say the fun doesn’t have to end here… Feel free to provide feedback detailing your Camp Jeep experience. Stop by jeep.com/cjsurvey http://www.jeep.com/cjsurvey to complete the official Camp Jeep survey. In addition to the survey you can send adventure stories, candid photos, and video content or video links to CampJeep@bbdodetroit.com. We'd love to hear from you.

Thanks again guys; the pleasure was all ours. Let’s do it again next year!

Hey there jeepxk,

Information for Camp Jeep's location and dates is usually announced about six months or so before the event takes place. For example, this year's event location and dates were announced as early as January. That time frame has been the trend in the last few events. At this point, my best suggestion for you in the coming months would be to stay posted with the Jeep web site for updates . In addition, you can also communicate with the Camp Jeep hotline periodically for the latest in Camp Jeep news.

Over the past few months we’ve received ongoing inquiries regarding plans for the 15th annual Camp Jeep; we just received updated information regarding the next event. While the official date has yet to be announced, I thought I'd provide the information we do have as it may be of interest.... I'll also create a thread including this information so that it doesn't get lost in this discussion...

As you may recall the 14th annual Camp Jeep hosted in 2007 was the biggest, most successful event in the history of Camp Jeep. With attendance levels at an all time high, hosting well over 10,000 people and accommodating nearly 2,800 vehicles; we want the next Camp Jeep to be an even better experience for our owners.

You know what they say, you’re only as good as your last event, and after 14years of hosting some of the most exceptional owner events ever known, I think it’s fair to say we know a little bit about what it takes to create an entertaining comprehensive Jeep experience. Because we really want to do things right, the decision has been made to host the 15th annual Camp Jeep in July 2009. We know the last Camp Jeep will be a hard one to top, but the lead time gained this year will permit additional planning, and will certainly aid in producing a superior Camp Jeep event for 2009 resulting in a more gratifying owner experience.

Event preparation and development is ongoing; the location and dates of Camp Jeep 15 are to be determined. We will be sure to share more information regarding this event as updates are made available.

Hope this helps…
