Just called in to customer service today to ask about my Patriot. They said the frame was being added to the vehicle. So hopefully if nothing goes wrong with the build, I will have my new Patriot soon!!!

Well I hope they use the extra strength glue. I don't want the body to fall of even if it is upside down!!! I will post the pictures asap

That is what confused me when the rep said the frame was being added to the vehicle. I was going to say something but they wouldn't know, they just answer the phones.

Maybe that's why they are taking so long to build, they haven't figured out they don't have a frame.

A unibody vehicle has a SUBframe though. That is probably what they were talking about, as the front subframe is added to the unibody usually with the entire engine and front suspension already mounted to the subframe.

Fuzz,

What model/options/color did you order anyway? Make sure to post some pics and write a review once you have put on a few miles....since you may be one of the first people to actually own one...

I was only able to get 4x4 sport in black. Options was the E package I believe which included things like air conditioning, power locks, power windows. I also got heated seats and the tail gate/ boston stereo. I will take all the pics I can and will write up a review after I get a few miles on it. See what the Freedom Drive 1 can do.

Did you have to put a down payment on it? I have never preordered a car before, did they want anything from you?

It's scheduled to be built by 1/31 :D , but it's a company car order, so it has to go through a processing center which is incredibly backed up right now, so I don't expect to see it until the end of February  .

Limited, Inferno Red, 2.4L CVT, FDI, F Package, Beige leather & interior trim, Boston Acoustics 9-speaker stereo with Music Gate, 28" tire & alum wheel package, steering wheel audio controls package, Full size spare tire.

So you where you not able to get the FD2 or did you just decide not to order it? Is the processing center really backed up? You are talking about the one off Lapeer/ M-24 road right. It didn't seem that backed up to me last time I looked.

Also mine is a company order as well so now down payment or anything like that.

Not available for order. Nor was the DVD player or NAV system. I wouldn't have shelled out the $$ for those options anyway. I've had numerous co-workers waiting for pre-configured vehicles to be delivered thru that operation, and it's taken months. I suspect the worst is over, and I should see only a small delay beyond normal processing time.

Do you have a delivery or shipping date yet?

I don't know what is going on now. I called yesterday to see what is going on and they say it has a build date. So I don't know which one to believe, either it is built or it is going to be built. Either way I don't know what is going on.

Awesome news, just got word that my Patriot has been built and painted today!!! So hopefully this means that I will have my Patriot in less than two weeks. How long can it take to ship something from Ill to MI.
