Would like to add 17 inch tires for monsoons and off road-what will the speedometer correction be required/what will tire increase size affect cvt/gear ratio-ideas on cost for 17inch wheels?

That would depend on what size tires that you put on those rims. When I'm playing with comparing tire sizes I use the tire size calculator (http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp)at 1010 tires and then go to the Tire Rack (http://www.tirerack.com/)for availability in the US.

All I know is that 215/60/R17 tires have the same diameter as 235/60/R16 tires, as I use those two different sizes on mine (summer & winter).
