I had a most annoying intermittent metal to metal squeak in my front passenger seat only when someone sat there. My daughter found that it had something to do with the seat belt. Turns out that the seat belt attachment (about halfway up from the floor) rubs on a bolt head in the side of the seat when a passenger wears the belt. I have the fold flat seat so it might be only troublesome with those types.
