MONTREAL, Jan. 18 /CNW/ - The Jeep(R) brand continues its expansion into untraveled territory with the 2007 Jeep Patriot. This all-new compact
sport-utility vehicle (SUV) delivers fun, freedom, utility and best-in-class
Jeep 4x4 capability, as well as a new entry-level price point for the Jeep
brand. Jeep Patriot will be the gateway to the Jeep brand with an MSRP
starting from $16,995 for 4x2 and $18,995 for 4x4 (not including destination).
Jeep Compass, Wrangler and Patriot are the only 4x4 SUV models offered in
Canada with base suggested retail price below $20,000.

"With Patriot, Jeep continues to expand the vehicle lineup by offering a
fuel-efficient and affordable Jeep vehicle designed to appeal to youthful
consumers and people with active lifestyles," said Judy Wheeler, Vice
President of Marketing for DaimlerChrysler Canada. "Patriot has the
credibility and distinction of the Jeep brand at a very affordable price."

A modern interpretation of traditional Jeep styling, the 2007 Jeep
Patriot combines the packaging and interior flexibility of an SUV with the
performance, handling, fuel economy and price of a compact car. Safety
features, such as standard side-curtain air bags and standard Electronic
Stability Program (ESP), advanced ABS, Brake Assist and Electronic Roll
Mitigation (ERM), add to Jeep Patriot's tremendous value.

Jeep Patriot offers more capability and performance than any other
vehicle in the compact SUV class through the available Trail Rated Freedom
Drive II Off-Road Package. Freedom Drive II provides a low-range mode that
generates best-in-class 19:1 crawl ratio, Brake Traction Control, 19-inch
(482.6 mm) water-fording capability and Hill Decent Control.

Jeep Patriot will arrive in Dealer showrooms starting mid-February 2007. source (http://www.newswire.ca/en/releases/archive/January2007/18/c6154.html)

Thanks PDXBubba for posting that....looks like canadian pricing will finally be available to the dealers so we can actually order one of these vehicles....

...the marketers make them sound so cheap by just talking about the base price without any options, destination charges, taxes, and so on...no one is getting out of the dealership that cheap...that's for sure...

4x4 sport 18995 + 2260 North Package + 1100 Destination + 100 a/c tax + 14% tax = 25598.70 (not including fees extras - then again not including invoice pricing or negotiating) - these are estimates based on compass pricing.

I think it may be another 1200 bucks to add FDII. In which case I may opt outta the North package. But we'll see...I wanna see it first :)

Hey Frosty- can you get to see it up close? I'm going to the show and I'd like to get in it, not just at 10 feet from it...
