i found some custom wheels for a grand cherokee that would technically fit a pat, but they have a 50mm offset.. is that too much for the pat? would they stick out all crazy like:confused: theyre 17" x 7.5". what do you think
a +50 offset is inside too much for the pat, meaning it'll rub the shock absorber towers. For the Patriot ET should be between 30 and 40.

I work for Belle Tire (http://www.belletire.com)here in Michigan and what we would do is TEST FIT the wheels, to see if there are any clearance issues... It would be cutting it close, but we here think they should fit! Keep us posted!

Here's a handy site with some tech info and a handy little chart for offset/backspacing. I've seen custom wheels list any where from 30 - 42mm offset depending on the width of the rim.
