Reading the blurb on the first Jeep slide it says:
1940 Jeep Willys Quad Prototype
Legend of the Jeep off-road vehicle began more than 60 years ago when automotive manufacturers across America were challenged to design a compact, lightweight, highly off-road capable vehicle for use by the armed forces.
Considering that the Patriot and the Compass are the closet thing Jeep still has to this original concept, this makes THEM the TRUE Jeeps. :)
