I am thinking 225/75/16's. Does everyone think that these will fit without issues? M/T btw, so no freedom II.

I like these...

It'll be tight and it'll probably rub.

The stock tire P205/70R16 = 27.3" x 8.1"

The tire you are looking at P225/75R16 = 29.3" x 8.9"

So the tires you're looking at are 2" taller and almost an inch wider. I'm pretty sure they'll fit but they'll probably rub a little when your suspension is flexed or at full turn.

Here's a good metric tire size conversion calculator.

What would be the oversize average tolerance?
Would a 225X70X16 tire have enough space? (from calculator +0.4 inch height and width.) Would this tire rub anywhere you think??? I already have 4 brand new winter tires that size...hope they fit!

So let me get this right. The first number (225) is the width, while the second (75) is the height.

So the tire would be 2 sizes wider and 1 taller?

Example: 215/65R17

215 width (mm)
65 = sidewall height factor = 65% of width (215) = 140mm
R17 = Wheel diameter (in inches)

Tire diameter calculator tools are available on the web
