Looks like a tight fit...but also looks great. Any rubbing with the wheel turned all the way and a bit of suspension compression?

That looks SWEET!! :smiley_thumbs_up: I'd be curious on your change in mpg since your "crawl ratio" has now changed to 17.9 and your final drive now calculates out to 3.33, if all else works out OK.

that looks really good. i'm thinking about putting 29's on my Compass...no lift kit though. speaking of which, does anyone just offer coil spring spacers to do just a 1 1/2" lift? just curious.....

What model of Michelens are those, and what is the metric size. Its the best tire and lift pkg I have seen yet.

Looks like a 245/65/17 or so...LTX A/T2...or maybe a 235/65/17?

They are Michelins LTX A/T2 P245/65R17 = 29.5 Dia. Yes it lightly rubs in a full hard lock turn. Which I will correct when I get time. But no other rubbing when flexing. The MPG I’m not sure just yet till I drive to work to compare it to the old MPG I’ll do that tomorrow. I went to Colorado this past week from Oklahoma. The MPG I thought was good which was 20.6 in the Mountain and 28.7 on flat land in Colorado. But started dropping when I got to Oklahoma to about 24.4 MPG. My Speed was 70-75MPH most of the way. I am thinking the altitude may have something to do with the higher MPG. I notice that my RPM is higher use to be about 2400 @ 70 now it’s at 2800 UMMM??? I am going to see if the dealer can calibrate the tires size to get the proper readings I figure it is off about 5%.

The CVT has no set gears, but is variable. It probably takes more rpm to get enough torque to hold that speed with the taller tires. Taller tires effectively gave you taller gearing. On an 08 you could use the auto-stick to get around this.

Wow thats really nuts, you would expect the opposite with regards to your rpms. Busa is probably right about the extra torque required. Perhaps the computer is getting a bit nutty with the diameter differences. Maybe its just that you've pushed it to the max and thats all its got for torque! These trannies are so technical and all programmed around the stock set-up that maybe its not able or allowed to apply more torque at the lower rpm.

Yeah but you are really going faster than 70mph indicated with the taller tires...need to find out with GPS to see. You might need to go 67mph indicated or so to be really going 70mph or even less...

Yes the MPH is off by 3MPH when driving 65 MPH my GPS says I am doing 68Mph

Is that just the lift on a regular pat or a trail rated? I am trying to get an idea for how high mine will sit because i am getting the same size tires. Your's is badged but doesn't look like it has tow hooks so im curious if it is or not.

The difference for the P245/65R17 29.5 inch tires versus 215/65R17 28.0 inch tires should be 29.5/28.0 = 1.054 or 5.4% faster. 5.4% at 65 miles per hour would be an extra 3.51 miles per hour.

Something to remember is that although tire width/height ratios are given in even 5% increments, i.e. 60%, 65%, 70%, but a specific model and size of tire may not fall on an even 5% increment and may have it's width/height percentage rounded off to the nearest 5% or what the marketing people think will help it sell.

With a manual transmission which would keep the RPM the same at the same indicated mph, I would expect a slight decrease in apparent miles per gallon, but an increase in corrected miles per gallon when you correct for the 5.6% greater miles covered.

FWIW and IMO and YMMV. :)
