: Need Help With A Softball Logo
My softball teams name is the Mutts... Last year I did a photoshop of "Mutts" in the Mets baseball logo with the Philly skyline in the background. This year I don't have photoshop and I'm out of ideas anyway... Anyone with some Photoshop skills want to whip something up for me?

I got a great idea, but NO photoshop skills whatsoever......in other words I REALLY SUCK AT IT! :(
no promises, but I'll see if my wife can put something together for you.......:icon_rolleyes:
Anything would help...even throwing the idea out there might be a good jumping off point!

JoeBecker 04-23-2010, 07:28 PM along the line of the Phillies logo:
A fire hydrant with the word Mutts across it

(A very crude attempt.... I am an engineer not an artist)
navy48 04-23-2010, 08:46 PM she's tied up with projects tonight, but the idea was to use an image of "Muttley" of the Dastardly and Muttley cartoons.
maybe something similar to this?
navy48 04-23-2010, 08:47 PM btw Joe, nice job. as you can see, I'm not even an ENGINEER.....:(

Sometimes a spark is all that's needed!

Granted, mine's not exactly perfect and could use some fine tuning but we'll cross that bridge if Gaze wants to work with this idea.
JoeBecker 04-23-2010, 09:59 PM Good job langsta!
Glad I could start your creative fire. :D
P.S. The only problem with trying to use a fire hydrant is that the hose connections (what makes it a hydrant instead of a column) end up in the same place as the text. It makes it difficult to tell by glancing at it what the shape is supposed to be.
One of the firms I used to work for had a company softball team called "Dead Horse"..... because you can't :dead_horse: (beat a dead horse).... I know, it was lame (the joke is lame, not the horse, because of course it is dead)
That's awesome! I'm sure my team would love it.
Do you have a higher resolution version that would work well for the front of a t-shirt?
JoeBecker 04-23-2010, 10:23 PM So since langsta is also in South Jersey...
I guess he gets a T-shirt too and is your MUTTScot?
Find a Muttley (see navy48's post) plush and put it in a Mutts' shirt and cap.
I will gladly get a shirt printed up for whoever's image we chose!
JoeBecker 04-23-2010, 10:32 PM We'll need to see the team photo of the Muttsley crew.
Ok, enough of the bad jokes...
langsta 04-23-2010, 10:48 PM Gaze- better than high res is available... It's vector. I'm not on my computer at the moment but I'll get it over to you when I can.
navy48 04-24-2010, 06:32 AM great job guys! but have you thought about a play on the New York Mets logo, making it the New Jersey Mutts?
on the other hand, do you REALLY want to be associated with anything resembling the Mets??? :p

I don't know if you can see the image above, but that's exactly what we did about 3 years ago.
Last year's shirts were the Pabst Blue Ribbon logo with "Mutts" instead of Pabst.
langsta 04-24-2010, 09:14 PM Gaze, I emailed the files to your work address.
Got it! Looks great, thanks again!

I vote for the center one!
langsta 06-08-2010, 11:26 AM Got a pic of how they turned out?
dixiedawg 06-08-2010, 11:34 AM I think they had the take-off from the Mets once before, check the original post for the T's they had before.
The team ended up going with a different logo... Another Phillies logo mashup.
Thanks for your help, though. We'll likely use your logo the next time we get new shirts.
langsta 06-08-2010, 11:58 AM Cool, whatever works. Looks nice.
