is this fabric all its cracked up 2 be? does anyone here have it? i believe it is available for E pkg, sport 08 models.

Yes Essentials is actually not a product from Daimler Chrysler or Jeep, it is a separate company they use as a supplier for the fabric.

The fabric is actually a combo of three other fabric products: StainSmart®, AlphaSan® and ShockShield™.

It does indeed protect against most stains and spills and they recommend NOT using any other product on their fabric such as 3M Scotchguard ect....

I have not spilled anything on our seats yet, however I must say they do look very nice and durable.

I have spilled about a quarter cup of hot coffee into the passenger seat once and it cleaned up extremely nice. No trace at all!
