Again, I get nothing out of this but getting my Scan Gauge to maximize my fuel mileage and view other engine operating parameters.

I had the equivalent of a scan gauge for my Chevy and it really came in handy for monitoring engine parameters. I never had any engine trouble codes, but it would have told me what they were and then cleared them for me.

On the Chevy 1994-1996 Impala SS Forum, there was an entire subforum dedicated to tapping into and adjusting the engine computer. The really great software was a package which allowed us to download the engine computer program and lookup tables, edit them, and then upload them back into the car.

I'm hoping someone has or will develop such a package for the Patriot.
