i'm planning on going to Maine at the end of august. I found a few hunting guides, the one i'm interested in is: http://www.fifteenmilestream.com/
i was wondering if anyone knows anything about them, or if anyone knows about any other guides that might be good in Maine, Vermont or N.H

NJ is over populated with black bear and i believe they are contemplating opening up black bear hunting soon...similar to how philadelphia was overpopulated with deer and they opened up hunting for that.
if you have any interest in black bear hunting, NJ might be the place to do it lol

Most places I know of do not have a spring bear season, and if NJ enacts a bear season I would bet it would be fall only.
There are a lot of black bears in PA, but only a fall hunting season, and the season is only 3 days long.

TI-Claude, I have a great recipe I use for Chukers you might want, let me know.
Most places are overpopulated with people. Bear and deer populations will naturally regulate themselves.

yes, they will, in a world without humans. also, most bears dont eat deer. Deer are too fast. They eat mostly crops, thats why hunting season coincides with crop season. farmers dont like bears. (at least in MASS)
i do know that NJ is full of bears, i lived in Hackettstown for a year (north west, near PA), and saw 3 black bears. But NJ is too conservative when it comes to gun laws and hunting, i hate that state. They keep banning more and more guns every year, and their crime keeps going up.
in Mass, the bear population is 3K and it has been increasing 8% every year since the 70s, in maine the Bear population is 29K. Thats why i would rather go to maine, and they also allow baiting.
