Thought I'd add a thread here for anybody else from Arkansas. I just bought a 2008 khaki Patriot Sport 2WD on 11/30/07, so I'm just starting to learn the ins and outs of Patriot ownership.
This is my first Jeep (first SUV for that matter); previous vehicles include:
1984 Buick Skyhawk Custom (my first car)
1980 Ford Escort L (wife's first car)
1989 Toyota Celica GT (my second car)
1995 Geo Prizm LSI (wife's second car)
1967 Dodge Polara (inherited, first project vehicle)
2000 Chevrolet Impala (my third and current car...and favorite thus far)
1982 Ford F350 XLT Lariat (my second project vehicle)
2003 Honda Accord EX 4-cylinder (wife's third and current car)
1980 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista (my third and current project vehicle, "pre-inherited" from my wife's relatives)
Now that I've got kids approaching driving/college age, I suspect my ability to keep a project car around will dwindle. My plan is to sell the Impala and El Camino to make room in the garage for the Patriot, and to drive it for the next decade while my wife's cars pass down to the kids as they leave the nest (hopefully). Afterwards I can get my midlife crisis vehicle, but keep the Patriot around as my weekend warrior...I plan to get the most our of my lifetime warranty!!
