Hey folks,

looking to buy a 2007 Jeep Liberty but have some questions before I do so. I will be seeing it in person the next few days. Current owners say it is:

Sport
Automatic
Leather
Trail Rated

I would prefer 5 spd but cant be picky.

Here is my question, they say it is trail rated...but it does not have power group (ie. pwr wnds & locks), is this possible? Was the sport model offered in the Trail Rated version? I will check if it has the Freedom Drive II. Seemed fishy, thought I would ask some past owners. Perhaps someone knows what was available this model year.

Um, I assume you mean you're buying a PATRIOT... Yes, the Sport came in FDII, I have one, and would love to sell it to you! It's Trail Proven. As for the power group, I wouldn't buy anything without power everything, and I'm not sure if you could get a FDII without power or not, I assume so. You CANNOT get Trail Rated (FDII) with manual.

I have the Trail Rated Patriot Sport with no power windows or locks, etc. So I guess you can get them this way, although I did order mine specifically like this, so I'm not sure what was normal for the dealers to inventory.

Thanks guys...and yes I meant Patriot..maybe I am secretly wanting a Liberty. I am going to take a look at it today. Kinda disappointed about no power group but perhaps I will like it either way. It is a lease takeover, that is why i am considering it, much much cheaper in the long run as it only has one year left and a sizable down payment, buyout is less than 10G.

"Sport" models do NOT have leather interiors. only the "Limited" models do..at least here in the U.S.

I am buying a new Patriot LTD 4x4, with Sunroof, 5 spd. Cant wait!
