Well I finally bit the bullet and ordered my 19 inch Startech alloys. With the locking wheel nuts and new bolts it cost £980.00. I'm hoping to get some tyres around the £117.00 each fitted etc. I will post some pics soon.

Well done mate.Strangely the tyres are the same for the 20's. 245/40/ 19" or 20" to keep the wheel circumference the same. I know it'll be a bit harder but I just hate those Conti's I drove to Hugh's in Beaconsfield to look at their pat with the 19's and when I looked outside there were 3 guys checking out my Pat from the showroom.:smiley_thumbs_up:

Hey Steve , What tyres do you think you are going to go with---Have you seen anything you think will be suitable yet.??Hi well there's no way I'm spending £327.00 a corner that's for sure. I'm going to go for some budget tyres. A couple of people I know in the trade reckon they're great value for money and one even fitted them to a 1600 GTi Golf with no probs. I did see some around the £83.00 mark but I forgot to write down where I saw them. I don't have my rims yet so I still have some time.

A few cars back I had a Daewoo Leganza 2lite DOHC . It was a great car almost as big as the Superb but when I got it , it had an odd assortment of tyres on it so I fitted budget low profiles all round. Cant remember the price but they were cheap. I think they were SAVA made in Poland or somewhere. They were brilliant quiet, good straight line stability , braking cornering /roadholding etc . I never pushed that car to the limit , but for general all round use they were a bargain.

I think I'm going to settle on Fullrun HP199's. £87.19 each balanced and fitted. I read up about them and they're made in China, what isn't these days?, The independant review spoke highly of them and the tread pattern, I believe is totally different to the Conti's.

I picked up my brand new 19" Startech alloys yesterday. Friday. They look absolutely smashing. I hope to get the tyres fitted and installed by Tuesday 20th. I've settled for Fullrun made in China, they get good reviews too. £90.00 each. A lot cheaper than Jeep want for sure. To say I'm pleased with them is an understatement.:banana::banana::D:D

Thanks !!The grille is an after market part from the USA. Google for accessories for the Pat. The side bars I got from www.direct4x4.co.uk Select Jeep then look for the Pat. There's a photo of my pat with the rear bar shown too.
