Does anybody know if it is possible to put of 245/65/17 (29.5inch)
or of 235/70/17 (30inch) with the wheels stock 17inch wheel ??
By means of wheel spacer? 1.25inch from rocky-road?
Or the biggest possiblity is 235/65/17 has problem with the front strut design?
my english is not very, i'm french guys form Québec!
thanks

A Wheel Spacer will magnify any rubbing issues. Since it moves the wheel/tire combination out...it increases the arc the wheel/tire travels and will make contact sooner with the inner wheel well.
You "might" be able to use the smaller wheel spacers from "Mr Gasket"...they come in sizes around 1/4" to 5/16" or so. The only issue is that they are not hubcentric but usually work. Summit Racing sells them among others.

I don't think your Patriot will have room to turn and run 30inch wheels. Anything bigger than 235/65-17 will rub and not only to the front strut tower but also the inner fenders. Of course it IS possible to make room, but I wouldn't recommend it on a new vehicle.. ;)

With new wheel, which have a good offset, backspacing, it will be possible.
But I wanted to know the biggest possibility of tire with wheel stock 17inch. Purpose 245/65/17, is only of 0.5inch bigger than of 235/65/17, it is necessary surement be able to pass by means of young to spacer..
New wheel we next summer mod!
thanks guys

Like I said, a wheelspacer like that or a wheel with a significanlty reduced backspacing will increase the arc travel of your wheel/tire combo and be MORE LIKELY to make contact...
Now a lift will alleviate some issues but not always all issues...

What if you put the 2.25 lift on with the 235 65R17's? Would I have a problem with that increased section width rubbing on any thing? Need to lift the Patriot it just isn't tall enough for my snow conditions. Upstate NY, Lake effect conditions plus back roads not plowed often makes me an unhappy camper when I rub the ground.

goebel1 put 245 65r17 on his lifted patriot, says there is a little rub but he is happy with it, I am going to my tire shop and going to put a set on and see what I think, but it looks promising

Kumho makes a nice all terrian, but it's a 30.1" part # KL78(255/65/17). I wish there was a local shop to check out the fit with a RR lift. My lift is on back order to late January.........................Here is the link.

Usually with that small a spacer, the stock studs give you enuff length for your lugs. I have even taken one an turned it down on a brake lave to 3/8"

ask "Gramps".....i believe he's mentioned 'somewhere' that you can use up to P235/65R17's (29.1") with NO MODS!
that's what I'M going to do anyway......:)
