This will be the first summer that I will be taking my new Patriot out on the beach to surf fish. I've always owned/used Tahoes or Ramchargers. These always had enough power to get the job done for me, but I am worried about how this 4 cyl is going to do.

It handled itself REAL well in the last 3 snows (up to 28") we had, but our soft sands are a whole new ballgame.

I plan on airing down to 15-20psi, and I've read that I should disengage the ESP.....any other advice and/or hints out there?

just do the usual deal, air down and go smooth and slow and you should be fine. It sounds like you know what you're doing on the beach. I don't think the 4 banger really matters on the beach because torque seems to make more problems than anything else. I would definitely air down to at 15 psi if not lower.
