Hi guys,

Anyone in Sydney recommend a solid jeep dealership to me? Most of the one's I've met so far have been fairly average with knowledge and cutting a deal.

Looking to join the patriot crew ASAP :)

We're in Melb but you never know. Might be worth a look down here.

Essendon Jeep worked well for us (to buy, not for servicing). Which model are you looking at? colour? etc...

Cheers for the heads-up mate, I'm after the;

2010 new in manual. Black or White. Comfort/convenience group. Aftermarket sunroof.

Plan on working on the sound system (sat/nav, splits, 2 rear seat, 2 boot, 10inch sub, 2amps) and rims (thinking ghost black 20's?) eventually..

no dealer will break their b**** to do you a real quote you until you are literally ready to buy

i know you will have already heard it, but are you ready to buy today? tomorrow?

when you are, you have 2 choices (both at the end of the month)

1. walk in to a few dealers near you, be serious, get a proper price - then you can do the ring around and say with confidence...can you beat this price now, today, i'll be down in half an hour...

2. have a look on the yards and see if there are any previously registered vehicle with say very few k's. we bought ours which had already been registered (to fudge their sales figures) with 32 k's on it!!! (been to the shops and back a few times), book price $34000 plus on roads, walked away with it that day for $30000 on the road - if you go this route, you will have to take the car as it is (colour, extra's etc...) but it may suit you.

personally....we got the tint done by the tint professor ($300), don't get a sunroof ! leak central

i know you've heard it all before, but you will only get the lowest price when you are literally ready to sign

good luck and keep us informed

thanks mate much appreciated - i'll let you know how i go. they have a driveaway 29,990 deal right now with all on-road so I don't mind paying the extra 2-3K to get a MY2010 as opposed to a MY2009. Will have a look around though.

good luck, but don't be persuaded that the $29.990 is the lowest they will go !!!

also negotiate to get carpets, cross rails !!!, bonnet guard and anything else thrown in

Hey mate,

I bought mine back in 2006 through http://carbroker.com.au/

You pay a small deposit,
tell them exactly what you want, (make, model, transmission, colour, options etc)
you set a reserve price, MAX $$ you will spend
they shop around amongst the dealers that are trying to reach their monthly quota and get you a great deal.
A dealer nearby me won out, but if not, they will deliver to your door.

I got mine for around a little under price with free onroads, tow bar, matts and window tint. (saved me about 3.5k IIRC)

just my 2c

Had to go white, sorry mate.

I've already gone through two black cars and if I had to get a third, I'd lose it. Black's a pain to keep clean.

Didn't really like the other colours and I have plans to make the white look nice!
