I like the idea of a CD clear radio and don't want to pay a monthly subscription. I have even found the deck (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ri2hcgBpmEA/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=280150&I=257KDHDR1) I want to put in the Patriot. Crutchfeild (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ri2hcgBpmEA/app/car/mycar.aspx) has the Patriot listed to see if which of their products will fit!

My radio blow up in my TJ last week and I looked at HD radios. I finally decided to go with a cheap Sony. With all the noise in a TJ, CD clear radio wouldn't matter much. I'm assuming the Patriot will be at least as quiet as the Compass. If it is I would definatley look into HD radio.
HD radio is terrible.
You'll get to listen to commercials in HD! Woah!! :D
Get Sirius. You won't notice the monthly fee once you realize you can't live without it after trying it....hit up siriusbackstage.com and read up on the forums....its fantastic radio.

I have to (mostly) disagree. There's a huge variety to choose from, but the sound quality is terrible. It sounds as if the music is playing into tin cans. This doesn't matter when listening to talk shows, of course. Overall, I'm disappointed, but I don't listen to a few channels anyway. I am a big fan of the comedy channels - especially Raw Dog, but the material is often repeated.

HD Radio is just a gimmick by the manufacturer. HD is the name of the company that liscences the technology to your local radio station not for "High Definition". The quality is similar to that of Satellite radio.

Does anyone know if service parts are available yet? I am looking for a Nav faceplate so I can put in my Double Din Alpine Headunit.
