Hello,
I wash my pat every single weekend and keep it sparkling clean.
I have a question though.
What do you use to clean the raised white lettering in the tire? i guess a good white wall cleaner would work but i know nothing about white walls.
I'd like to keep the lettering sparkling white aslong as i can.
anyone do this that have suggestions?

There is a bleach tire spray that work pretty good. But I might add I would not leave it on you rims it may tarnish them as any tire and rim cleaner will over time. Something else I like to use is a household cleaner call Comet it a powered cleaner I put it on a wet brush and scrub the white letters and it makes them like new.

Umm this might sounds stupid but it works like a dream...
Every hear of SOS pads? they work wonders on white lettering/white wall tires.

I have used those too.....works good also
I use an quick shot of engine degreaser to loosen up any dirt and brake dust on the wheels and tires, hose off quickly, then follow with a "Tire Brush" (a curved brush that hits the entire side wall with one swipe). I have another rag that i use to get in the corners of the rim itself.

Wesley's Bleach-White should be able to get it at any parts store. I usually clean the wheels/tires and hose off then rinse with regular car wash soap.

Those magic erasor pads are going to get torn up quickly in the rough surface of the raised tires. (we use them around the house here and they tear pretty easily when we clean our shoes - also a rough surface near the soles))
Wesleys tire bleach or ANY other tire care product will work well. They really will. Tires (thankfully) aren't delicate and can be cleaned easily with so many different tire products, we would lose count. The rims are your only real concern and if you wash/rinse quickly, even that shouldn't be a problem (emphasis on rinse )
I prefer a tire brush (like someone else previously mentioned) over the pads because they do a good job AND keep my knuckles from getting all scraped up in the process. (do that about twice and you'll be throwing things!)
Good luck,
Randy

There's an all-purpose spray cleaner called 'Spray 9'...it does a fantastic job on tires (incl. white letters or whitewalls -- remember those?). First, you have to wet down the tires, then spray on the product and use a scrub brush to scrub it in for a few seconds, and then just rinse it off well -- any residue left on may be hard on aluminum or custom wheels. Regular use will keep your tires looking black (& white letters white) -- I hate using Armor-All or similar type products that give your tires a shiny appearance -- it attracts dust and leaves a residue that's very difficult to remove. You'll also find 101 uses for this product around the house -- it's quite powerful.:blah:
