I heard thru a reliable source that the press event will be coming up sometime before the end of the month to unveil the Patriot. And, it is in an area that is noted for its trails and off road environment, leading to the confirmation that the Patriot is indeed Trail Rated.

That is good news. I saw some video of the Compass in some sand dunes on YouTube, and it looked pretty capable. Add a little more off-road capability to that and it should be the vehicle I need it to be.

So I am at work waiting for a customer and I see this silver jeep drive by..wait thats not one we sell!!!!! The 2007 jeep patriot is currently under product testing at 4 peaks!!! They have had it for a week and put 1500 offroad miles on it already!!! It had the fashonable azpinstipes already there and the fron bumper got a bit smacked...I would say its trail rated!!!! So, the dcx guys jumped out and noticed my tongue licking the paint and threw me the keys and said check it out, go for a drive, you can't wreck it anymore than we have..and I thought Yeah I can!!!! Me and Eric took it over to the airpark proving grounds where this new jeep passed out rigerous testing!!! So why airpark????? Well we are the closest to 4 peaks, thats where the press event will be held later this month, we are getting 20 for the offroad drive. Before the big event they will be beating the piss out of these and then tear them apart in our service drive to make sure all is well. I 'll keep you guys posted;)

P.S. I'll get photos if there are any JK crds or pickups that show up for the testing :roll:

Any more news about this? If it is this weekend, maybe we could get some behind the scenes setup shots and news, please.

The press event got pushed back to January due to the holidays. I will post up any pics or new info.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop! Looking forward to seeing and hearing all about it, but I know there is always a blackout period after the event until the details can be made public.

I'll just be happy to hear that the Patriots have arrived and are ready to be unveiled to the press.

I have full access to Chrysler's journalist/media site (not the freebie they are offering up to everybody right now ;)). I'll check and see when the event should be taking place. Nothing yet.

The event has been pushed back to mid January. I'll post info when it becomes vail. and pics!!!

No SERIOUSLY.....when will the Patriot's be at local dealers nation wide?
I have been waiting very long and my patience is growing very thin.

Ordering will open next week....So add 4-5 weeks....Early Feb?????
