Anyone have any idea what the towing capacity is/will be on the Patriot with manual transmission and off road group? I've been able to get lots of other information, but can't find the towing capacity.

I believe it's 1000 lbs for base vehicle and 2000 lbs with trail rated package.

Towing capacity depends strictly on if the vehicle has the optional 'Trailer tow prep group' (which includes an engine oil cooler and wiring harness)....

without this option tow capacity = 1000 lbs
with this option tow capacityj= 2000 lbs
